Nkomazi Maskandi artist’s collaboration with Phuzekhemisi and Mbuzeni Mkhize rocks

Maskandi artist Majawonkhe Dlamini affectionately known as Umfana weli Swati said he wants to do other collaborations.

Maskandi artist Majawonkhe Dlamini has collaborated with music legend Phuzekhemisi and another talented artist, Mbuzeni Mkhize. Affectionately known as Umfana weliSwati, this artist from Magudu said his Maskandi fans will enjoy the songs they composed and will not be disappointed.

The songs, titled “Stsandvwa Sami” and “Ungidvonsela phansi”, were released on digital platforms on Saturday August 27.

Umfana weliSwati is well known for his song “Tihlobo Tami”; this hit song is played on many radio stations. According to him, this collaboration is great opportunity for him. “I am thrilled to have had the chance to work with these two talented artists.

It has been a great journey and I am happy with the outcome. I was connected with Phuzekhemisi by Lucky Ntiwane of Nkomazi FM. He then introduced me to Mkhize. I travelled to KwaZulu-Natal so we could work in his studio. On arrival, they asked me to play some of the songs I composed and they chose those two.”

He said after they worked on the songs, the product sounded perfect and they had more command.

“I had not released any of the songs, so when they added their parts to it, I loved everything we did. It felt great to work with them. I grew up listening to Phuzekhemisi and now I got to work with him. I learnt a lot from them. They taught me how to market my work and sell it.”
He said his love of music started when he was young. “I grew up in a family who loved music. In 2014, I decided to start doing something about my passion.”

The songs are available on digital platforms such as YouTube, DistroKid and Spotify. Umfana weliSwati has urged the public to support his craft by downloading and listening to these new tracks.
