Nsikazi rapper releases new hit song

Siphosethu Thabethe, the 24-year-old rapper known as Smash Shadow, released a new hit titled “Drop Top” that is about desiring success.

Shadow has accomplished a lot of things in his music career.
He is the director of his own record label, Global-StaX, through which he has released his hit song “Babydad” in 2020. The song garnered 46 786 streams on Spotify, making him a verified artist.

“If you think about it, you should have an action plan. It does not matter what kind of a dream you have, as long as you work towards manifesting it. I simply speak about the car I want to drive when I make it as a musician, and all other things I want to achieve in life.
The message I’m trying to convey with the song, is to let people know that they should be patient towards their dreams, and that they must know their dreams are valid,” he explained.

“I have always loved music and have been passionate about it since I was young. When I realised I could rap fluently on Ricky Rick’s ‘Nafukwa’ song, I was encouraged to make my own music. My journey as a musician has never been easy, but with the hard work I am putting in, I believe that my breakthrough is near,” he said.

“My ultimate goal is to inspire upcoming artists to persevere, toil hard, and to never give up. I want young budding rappers to take their craft seriously and not ask well-known artists for concessions.”
