MTPA embarks on cleaning campaign in Numbi on Mandela Day

Various sites were visited for the clean-up campaign.

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) and tourism safety stakeholders celebrated Mandela Day at George Mhaule Primary School in Numbi by embarking on a clean-up campaign and giving back to the local community.

The celebration saw the MTPA collaborating with the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Kruger National Park, Ehlanzeni District Municipality, Nkambeni Safari Lodge and Mdluli Lodge.

The celebrations included a clean-up campaign at various sites leading to Numbi, the planting of indigenous trees and the donating of food parcels to five of day care and home-based care centres around the area.

This year’s Mandela Day focused on promoting safety and cleanliness around our communities as well as indigenous tree planting. Every action counts, and all stakeholders involved took part to give back to the public.
