Organisation donates shoes to Vukuzithathe Primary School

This is their first event since they formed the organisation.

It was a joyful day for the learners of Vukuzithathe Primary School when they recently received much-needed school shoes.

The k-quad Gentlemen’s Club donated 19 pairs of school shoes and 30 lunch packs to the less fortunate learners last week.

The organisation was established in 2021 by Kenneth and Kevin Hlatshwayo after they realised a lot of people were struggling to make ends meet.
Mthokozisi Malindisa of the club said they did this project for this school because they wanted to give back to their own community before they spread to others.

“We honestly started there simply because most of our members, including our founders, are familiar with the school. We went to school there, so it was basically charity starting at home before we spread,” he said.

“Our aim is to have such initiatives at least once or twice a month, not just donating school shoes, but even food parcels and building homes for the disadvantaged in the near future. In fact, for this project we had planned to include school jerseys, but then, due to certain reasons, we could donate only the shoes. Hopefully we will be able to do the jerseys with the next event,” he said.

“We believe that God has entrusted us with the little we have to distribute to others, and the more we are faithful as distributors, the more He will entrust us with.”
