Mpumalanga ANC provincial conference under way at Witbank Dam

The ANC delegates are preparing to vote for their top 5.

Despite an urgent court interdict by disgruntled members, the Mpumalanga ANC provincial conference got under way on Friday April 1 at the Witbank Dam in eMalahleni.

The conference was officially opened by the party’s national Treasurer General, Paul Mashatile, who called for the total unity of the organisation. The nominations of the top 5 were done just after midnight, as journalists camped outside braving the cold night. The voting will take place today, Saturday April 2, and the results are expected later on.
