The school attained first place among public schools in the Nsikazi Circuit. The top three, Sandile Mutuque, Zethembe Mlombo and Siphosethu Shekwa, passed their exams with flying colours.

Sandile achieved distinctions in accounting, mathematics, business studies, siSwati and life orientation. He achieved level five in English. He had been accepted to pursue a degree in BCom accounting at the University of Johannesburg. “I read my books hard during the lockdown and when the schools reopened in June it was all revision for me. I seriously didn’t expect to achieve such good marks. I surprised myself and my granny Ester Mutuque, my only pillar of support and my number one fan,” he said.

“The initiative is aimed at giving back to the community of KaBokweni and affording previously disadvantaged children an opportunity to enroll in an institution of higher learning. This programme has helped more than 30 students who have graduated in the different fields, including engineering, medicine, accounting, law and many more,” said Ncongwane.
