Lillydale gogo now has a place to call home thanks to apostle Peter Jones

Apostle Peter Jones, together with the Sabi Sand Pfunanani Trust and Investec Rhino Lifeline, donated 360 food parcels to 12 communities in the Greater Kruger region.

An old granny, who had spent all her life in a dilapidated shack, recently received a dignified shelter, all thanks to the Apostle Peter Jones Foundation.
Apostle Peter Jones, together with the Sabi Sand Pfunanani Trust and Investec Rhino Lifeline, donated 360 food parcels to 12 communities in the Greater Kruger region.
While there, he noticed an elderly woman living in the rubble that she called home.
Jones then took it upon himself to raise funds for the construction of the shelter after seeing her on the sand with no bed to sleep on.

“After witnessing the state of the shack that she was living in, I realised just why so many of these elderly females are being raped. They are sleeping bare in the open with no form of security. Anyone can simply remove the bricks in front of the structure and walk into the shack,” said Jones.
Through the help he received from other stakeholders, he secured land for the local traditional authorities to build the granny a decent shelter. A double bed, food parcels and other household items were donated to her.
“When we handed her the finished house and the keys to the door, she was surprised as to what the key does. We had to show her how it works – that really touched my heart,” expressed an ecstatic Jones.
