ANC members show division outside KaBokweni Court

One group supported the late ANC member, Prince Mbazo Manzini, he was allegedly assaulted at the Anc branch meetings in Gutshwa.

Members of the ANC showed division when they protested outside KaBokweni Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

One group held a huge banner bearing an image of the face of the late ANC member, Prince Mbazo Manzini.  He died on March 15 after he was allegedly assaulted at party branch meetings in Gutshwa.

His supporters said they want to see justice done.

The other group sang their songs across the road.

They questioned why the police arrested the five men in connection with the murder of Manzini.

They alleged that the accused were innocent on the allegations of murder  levelled against them.

John Hlatshwayo, one of Manzini’s supporters said, “We are shocked to see two groups of the ANC fighting each other. This shows that there is no unity among ANC members in the province. We want to see justice prevail in this matter.”

Legal representatives of the five suspects, aged between  27 and 37, briefly appeared in court on their behalf.  The suspects were not in court.
