Three TS Galaxy players test positive for Covid-19

The three Rockets are in isolation and following all precautionary protocols

TS Galaxy Football Club has confirmed that three of their players tested positive for Covid-19 coronavirus.

Following a series of tests conducted on the entire squad, technical and management staff in preparation for the resumption of the season, the results of the three players returned positive results.

According to a press release yesterday, the results were confirmed to the club on Tuesday.

The club however is pleased to confirm that all three players are asymptomatic and are currently in isolation, taking serious precautions on their journey to recovery.

The TS Galaxy FC medical team is working tirelessly in strict compliance with all regulations to ensure that all players and technical staff are diligently following health and safety guidelines.

TS Galaxy wrote themselves in South African soccer folklore when they beat Kaiser Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final last season. Nobody, except TS Galaxy and their fans, expected the National First Division side to defeat the mighty Amakhosi. A late Zakhele Lepasa penalty sealed a 1-0 win for the Rockets.

They play out of the Kameeldrift Stadium in Nkangala. The team are 12th on the GladAfrica Championship log and waiting for the season to resume.
