Roadworks between Montrose and Schagen complete

The R100-million project near Mbombela commenced in May this year and saw 11km of Section 7A rehabilitated.

Trans African Concessions (TRAC) has announced that the rehabilitation project between Montrose and Schagen on the N4 Toll Route is officially complete.

The R100-million project near Mbombela commenced in May this year and saw 11km of Section 7A rehabilitated. Roadworks included the rehabilitation of the existing slow lane and overlaying of the entire carriageway.

According to the main contractor, Tau Pele, the project ran smoothly with no major delays or complications experienced. It conformed to TRAC’s commitment to the communities along the route with the subcontracting of local SMMEs valued at R12-million. A further 36 locals were also employed at the site.

TRAC prides itself on offering quality road infrastructure, which requires regular upgrades, rehabilitation and routine maintenance.
