Suspects wanted for bombing petrol station’s safe in KaNyamazane

Police were called by residents when the incident took place.

KANYAMAZANE – Local police are looking for a group of men who attacked the BP filling station in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to police, the suspects held two petrol attendants at gun-point then proceeded to bomb the cashier’s window. “The men who were more than 10 bombed the safe multiple times using explosives and took an undisclosed amount of cash,” said spokesperson, Sgt Gerald Sedibe.

The incident occurred around 1.15am. “Suspects fired shots at police and thereafter fled the scene. No arrests were made,” Sedibe added.
