Four killed in N2 accident between Ermelo and Mkhondo
Four passengers died at the scene while the driver of the bakkie sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital in Ermelo.
A head-on collision between a bakkie and a sedan claimed four lives last night around 19.00 on the N2 between Ermelo and Mkhondo.
The deceased include the driver of the sedan and three passengers. The four died at the scene due to impact of the crash.
The driver of the bakkie sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at a hospital in Ermelo.
The Road Safety Engineeing team in the department along with the police have already started with investigations into the accident.
In the light of several accidents in the province since Friday, the department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison said motorists are urged to use the road with greater caution in order to avoid further loss of lives.
