Two men shot dead at Shabalala Trust
Mpumalanga News learned that the suspect, who fired shots at three men around 21:00 yesterday, is fighting for his own life under police guard at Matikwane Hospital.
The man suspected of shooting and killing two men and injuring a patron near a tavern in Shabalala Trust yesterday, was severely beaten by angry members of the community.
“An ambulance called to the scene was pelted with stones and turned away without helping him until he was rescued by the police,” said a witness, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Sgt Dudu Malibe, spokesperson for Hazyview police, confirmed that the suspect is under police guard at Matikwane Hospital, while the third victim was taken by his family to Sabie Hospital.
“The police opened a double murder case and another charge of an attempted murder. Investigations still continue,” she said.
The suspect was later transferred to Medi- Clinic in Nelspruit.
