All Jeans Praise and Worship Gospel Festival back with a bang

The usually sluggish mining town of Burgersfort will be abuzz with gospel music lovers from various parts of South Africa.

The usually sluggish mining town of Burgersfort will be abuzz with gospel music lovers from various parts of South Africa and its neighbouring countries of Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Mozambique on December 16 as the annual All-Jeans Praise and Worship Gospel Festival will be back at the local Thaba Moshate Hotel and Casino Convention Resort.

According to veteran event organiser, Bruce Kgapane of Ziyaphenduka Marketing and Events Logistics, this highly-anticipated occasion is once more done in collaboration with the Limpopo Tourism Agency – and is not to be missed.
The fact that gospel greats such as Dr Tumi and Lebo Sekgobela, who are known to perform their gospel hits to sold-out crowds across the country will be headlining the show, makes the event to be classified as a “special gospel extravaganza”.

Supporting acts to the two superstars will include other gospel giants such as Neyi Zimu, His Grace Ministries, Blondie Sexwale, Thula Ndlovu and various aspirant gospel musicians from Burgersfort and surrounding areas.
The idea of the festival was born by Kgapane five years ago when he realised the need to create platforms for upcoming gospel artists to showcase their talent and market their music.

“This annual event gives unique opportunities for aspirant gospel artists to perform their original material to their loyal and local fan base. We are proud that this annual All-Jeans Praise and Worship Gospel Festival attracts over 10 000 people per show since 2015,” said Kgapane.

He said the response to date has been phenomenal, both from the aspirant gospel artists who are going to perform at the event and the fans who are grabbing the limited tickets to the event.
Kgapane is inviting all church groups, social club members, sport groups and individuals to grab their tickets before it is too late.

“This is going to be a day of a winning combination of music, family and fun. We encourage families, friends and fans to come in their numbers because this is going to be a show of a lifetime,” said Kgapane who has been in the showbiz industry for almost 30 years.

He added that the event has in the past four years also boosted skills transfer to the local communities and created temporary jobs for the unemployed youth.

“People have acquired various skills while working on the project. It is also an event which creates job opportunities for the unemployed youth – just before the Christmas holiday,” concluded Kgapane.
Tickets are available at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers for R250 per person. The gates will open at 17.00 while the event will start at 18.30 and ends at about 02.00.
