MBOMBELA – Today former late president Nelson Mandela would be 100 years. The country has once again heeded to the call by spending 67 minutes of charity. Deputy President David Mabuza, Mpumalanga premier Refilwe Mtsweni and Gert Sibande District executive mayor Muzi Chirwa will be at Mkhondo Local Municipality the whole day.

Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe is at Tekwane North engaging with residents and doing some community work.

The Executive Mayor of Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality mayor David Nkosi, committed himself and his office this morning that he will award a deserving learner who has been accepted at University with a fully-funded bursary.

Penryn College will be doing a Mandela Day Toy Collection from today for their library project which will donate some of the resources to underprivileged communities.

Jacaranda FM donated a year’s supply of sanitary towels to Mandlesive High School which will keep 3000 girls in school.
