Sixteen road users killed in three days in Mpumalanga

Seven pedestrians were killed during the accidents.

A total of 16 people were killed in 65 accidents reported on the roads of Mpumalanga between July 13 and 16.

Ehlanzeni region recorded the highest number of accidents this weekend..

“There were 29 of them in Ehlanzeni which claimed 10 lives, while 12 people were seriously injured and 26 were slightly injured,” explained Moeti Mmusi, spokesperson for community safety, security and liaison this morning.

Nkangala region recoderd 22 accidents with four deaths and 27 serious injuries, while Gert Sibande recorded 14 crashes, two deaths and eight serious injuries.
“Seven pedestrians were knocked over during these accidents,” added Mmusi.
