Assist police arrest cash-in-transit robbers

Police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist in tracing and arresting the suspects to contact Sergeant Ella Mohlala at 079 265 4912 or the SAPS Crime Stop number at 08600 10111.

Members of the South African Police Service at Witbank are looking for two men who robbed a Cash-in-Transit (CIT) security company employee of a money bag at a filling station in Witbank on Monday, at about 07:40.

According to information at police disposal, a CIT vehicle stopped at the filling station to collect money from the weekend’s business when two men driving a silver Mazda 2 stopped next to the cash van and one man approached the guard with the money box as he was coming from the Quick Shop. The suspect pointed him with a firearm, dispossessed his firearm and the money box before returning to their vehicle (suspects’), whereafter they fled the scene.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects and are appealing to anyone with information that may assist in tracing and arresting the suspects to contact Sergeant Ella Mohlala at 079 265 4912 or the SAPS Crime Stop number at 08600 10111.
