VIDEO: SA in tears after watching Winnie Mandela documentary
The documentary will draw you in and narrates how the mother of the nation fought tirelessly for the freedom of the country.
A documentary exposing a massive operation by the apartheid government to discredit and isolate Winnie Madikizela-Mandela left South Africans weeping last night.
The one-hour twenty-eight-minute documentary reveals details regarding the controversial Stompie Seipei murder. How Chris Hani’s assassination affected her as well as how Nelson Mandela was made to choose between his wife or the presidency.
Social media was abuzz last night after realising how significant her role was in the struggle. Emotions ran high when many took to twitter to express their anger and their views about the documentary.

The nation is hurt. But remember Winnie when she says, ““I had achieved everything I fought for. What more did I want.” and then smiles. #Winnie

We owe #Winnie so so so much! We really did over negotiate. I now understand why Julius and Mama clicked, they knew the truth. We gave too damn much. They tried to demonize mama and still wanted to take more! Take take take take even now in 2018 abo Vicky bamasimba

You don't need to be a genius to question Nelson Mandela's legacy, the moment you see white people celebrating your "hero" just know he's not your hero. Samora Machel said it better. Black heros aren't white heros. #Winnie

#Winnie So Mama Winnie refused to go live as a “glorified prisoner”. This woman has always stuck with masses. 😀

S.A. journalists & film makers are an embarrassment. It took Pascale Lamche, a French Film Maker to have an inclination, work very hard & dig deep to find & report the truth about out very own Mother. Shameful!— Kwakhanya (@Kwakhan03679240) April 11, 2018

#Winnie single handedly making an entire regime fear you!!! When they had to arrest her, the police came in swarms!! Just for ONE WOMAN, if that isn't power I don't know what is. She was stronger than I ever ever imagined she was. I'm sad to celebrate her life too late pic.twitter.com/9K0G2Nu7Il
