Uproar over closure of center at Msholozi

Residents say they are tired of illegal land sales, lack of school and proper roads in the informal settlement.

There is no one coming in or going out from Msholozi near the R40 road this morning.

Residents say they are tired of illegal land sales, lack of school and proper roads in the informal settlement.

They allege that certain individuals are illegally selling what used to be Mama Esther’s  Safe Haven, a place which the residents had hoped will be used for the development of schools in the area.

The community has embarked on a stay-away from work and school, they are waiting the arrival of the acting mec for education, Ms Sasekani Manzini who has promised to address them.

They are demanding that at mama Esther Haven premises which was finally closed down by the department of social department, they want a school to be built for the area.
