Police search for killers of former Nkomazi municipality speaker
It is alleged that he was kidnapped outside his home at KaMhlushwa.
Mpumalanga police are investigating the death of the former speaker of Nkomazi Local Municipality, Mr Victor Mashabane (55).
Police spokesperson Brig Leonard Hlathi said he had been shot dead by unknown men on Tuesday.
“It is alleged that he was kidnapped outside his home at KaMhlushwa.

He was bundled into his car by an unknown number of men.
“Mashabane was later found fatally shot in his vehicle,” he said.

No arrests have been made at this stage. “The police appeal to anyone who may have information regarding the kidnapping case, to contact Det Capt Pat Banda on 082-449-0291,” said Hlathi.
