A motorist assaulted a security guard with a walking stick at Rob Ferreira hospital

MBOMBELA – A 37-year-old security guard from Top Ten Company stationed at Rob Ferreira hospital  was  attacked  last night by a motorist.

According to the information obtained by this publication, the whole drama unfolded when a motorist allegedly refused to stop at the gate so that the security guard can be able to search his vehicle.

Speaking to this reporter, the security guard who is known to this publication but can’t be named due to safety reasons, said the motorist who was aggressive, opened a door and took his walking stick and hit him on the head.
One of the eye witnesses who is a site manager for the security company, Mr Themba Mhlanga confirmed that the owner of the vehicle allegedly refused to be searched at the gate and requested to see a site manager or supervisor.

“He told me a different story after he had an argument with the guard. He said someone scratched his car at the parking and I went to check the car and I discovered that it was an old scratch. He was so arrogant and threatened me. He even refused to listen when I explained the procedures at the hospital gate. As he drove off, I was able to take a picture of his car registration,” said Mhlanga.
