UPDATE: Ray Phiri’s send off will be held at Mbombela Stadium
Funeral arrangements are in place, however, the venue of the memorial and funeral service will be revealed in due course.
MBOMBELA – Internationally recognised jazz legend Ray Phiri’s funeral arrangements have been finalised after the Provincial Government engaged with the family for a suitable date for the memorial and funeral service which will be held at Mbombela Stadium.
Acting Premier Refilwe Motsweni alongside family spokesperson Paul Nkanyane announced that the memorial service will take place on next week Thursday followed by the funeral service on Saturday, July 22.
