Youth League endorses David Mabuza as deputy president.
After the African National Congress Youth League(ANCYL) held its NEC over the weekend, it was announced that Mpumalanga Premier, David Mabuza is backed by the league for Deputy President.
The ANCYL addressed the media at Luthuli House this afternoon announcing that they support Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma as party president.
Dalmini-Zuma was described as a tried and tested leader by ANCYL secretary general, Njabulo Nzuza. “She has grown in the struggle. She ran a number of positions. She has been a minister in a number of departments, there’s no question at all. If the ANC says we think we can give this responsibility and she agrees, then that’s not a concern at all,” said Nzuza.
Below is the list of the preferred candidates for the ANC national leadership:

Nzuza also said in creating its list of preferred candidates, the league agreed the requirements for the next ANC leader should stretch beyond exile credentials.
