G4S cash in transit vehicle blasted in Siyabuswa

According to Sgt Gerald Sedibe, the G4S vehicle was from collecting money at a certain depot in Siyabuswa industrial area when it was accosted by the suspects in a silver grey Toyota Fortuner.

Mpumalanga police are looking for unknown suspects who robbed a G4S cash in transit vehicle an undisclosed amount of cash yesterday at Siyabuswa.

“The suspects fired shots at the armoured vehicle until it came to a halt.
They then forced the driver out of the van and instructed him to open the back door where two other security officers were also forced out of he vehicle,”

he said.

The suspects immediately blasted the safe with explosives and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

No arrests had been so far.
Police investigations on a case of armed robbery still continue.

In a separate incident, two suspects driving a green BMW car robbed a man who was on foot to deposit money at a bank in Volksrust on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the victim was sent by his employer to deposit some cash when the suspects jumped from their car, grabbed the bag and drove away.

A case of armed robbery was on opened.
