Local designers to showcase their talent during the Nelspruit Fashion Week in White River
Nhlanhla Zwane of Lee Tainment says the Nelspruit Fashion Week is a premier fashion platform event for emerging and well established fashion designers from Mbombela and surroundings, including invited designers from across the country and abroad
WHITE RIVER – Fashion designers from Mbombela and abroad are ready to showcase the Winter/Autumn garments during a three-day fashion week at Casterbridge starting this afternoon.
The designers will showcase their refined, high quality fabrics, brands and accessories.
“The event aims to strengthen the creativity of designers from the province and promote youth development in the industry,” he said. He added that three best designers will be selected at the end of the fashion week, attend workshops and be exposed to other developed designers. The three will also stand a chance of representing the province in another fashion week in Canada around September.
Kabokweni based Freedom Ngomane known as Mafristos will also showcase his colourful suits for gentlemen.
“Attendees should expect colourful clothes with lots of embroidery representing South Africa and the African continent at large. We invite all people from the Lowveld region to come see the good work done by local designers and talent from our province,” he adds.
Sello Gene of Gene Hunter Original from Pretoria says his designers are here to add the luxury aspect in the fashion week. “We will add luxury with a bit of colour and some drama for corporate women ‘s outfits,” he said.
Other Top Designers to grace the fashion week include Dennis Maponya-Manthata, Aseme from Ghana, the Black Trash from Botswana ,Cybia from Mbombela, Michrans from Nigeria and many more.
