He released his latest album in September last year titled Live the Music. East London's finest sure is a catch in the South African music industry.

East London‘s golden boy and house deejay and producer, Mobi Dixon is nominated in the Best Dance Album category at the SAMA 23 Awards. His recent banger titled Trigger featuring Inga Hina is an undisputed hit. We catch up with him.

How do you feel about your SAMA nomination?
I am feeling great, last year was a big year for me. I won an award at the Metro FM Awards in the same category I am nominated in at the SAMA’s hopefully I win this one as well.
Tell us about your album Live the Music?
There were challenges compiling that album, but that was set to inspire youngsters which are important to me. The album is doing well including my single titled Trigger featuring Inga Hina.
What can your fans expect from you ahead of the SAMA’s?
I hope to take the award. I am also planning to do a free concert in East London to celebrate 10 years in the music industry. I have also been involved in projects including a remix with Nigerian musician, Davido and Tinashe which has been released. There is a song I am working on with Fistaz Maxwell as well, look out for a song featuring Bucie that will be released soon.
What is your plan to make sure your music is marketed?
The plan is to make more videos from the album. I am working with Anatii on a video with a tribal soul element. I just want to release singles and promote the album through them.
