Government to assist grieving families of Bronkhorstspruit accident

Out of the 20 deceased who sustained severe injuries, only one body could be identified. Processes of conducting identification and DNA analysis will begin today.

Familes of the deceased were visited and profiled yesterday and five families will be assisted by the Mpumalanga and Gauteng Provincial Governments.

The Minister of Basic Education, Ms Angie Motshekga,  Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety Security and Liaison, Mr Pat Ngomane and Gauteng  MEC for Education, Mr Lesufi Panyaza are currently visiting schools of the learners  who passed away in a tragic accident last Friday. This is after minibus taxi collided with a truck  on the Groblersdal Road near Bronkhorstspruit.

Learners and staff members of  Mahlenga High School and Refano Primary School will be briefed and offered professional  counselling accordingly.
