Bronkhortspruit accident: Premier Mabuza conveys his condolences

Learners of Refano Primary and Mahlenga Senior Secondary will be officially informed that some of their classmates and friends died in an accident on Friday.

Mpumalanga Premier Mr David Mabuza conveys his condolences to the victims of the R25 road accident that claimed 19 lives of school kids outside Bronkhorspruit on Friday.
Mabuza has further wished a speedy recovery to all those children who sustained injuries and have been admitted to hospital.

“Indeed, it is a sad day in our province, I just cannot imagine the pain the parents of these children are going through. We convey our deepest condolences, their pain is our pain, and we will be with them during this difficult time in their lives. We would like to urge motorists to be extra vigilant on the roads by playing their role in order to assist in avoiding human errors. They should constantly exercise caution,” said Mabuza
He adds that government would continue to play its part in ensuring that all the roads are safe through maintenance and law enforcement. “As a provincial government, we view accidents in a serious light because the loss of one life is one too many,” said Mabuza.

The families are waiting for DNA results from the authorities to release the bodies to the right families.
