VIDEO: University students on the rampage
Two weeks ago students received messages from management that they should vacate the campus with immediate effect.
The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) is at a standstill following another protest by the students.
It is alleged that an illegal catering company was appointed and the National Student Financial Aid Scheme(NSFAS) has not been paid out.
Last month the university ws shut down after students demanded that the current service provider responsible for catering should not be removed from the campus. Their demands also included the firing of some of the university’s executive members.
