Business Forum wants to bring about change

BARBERTON -The Barberton Business Forum has come on board and held an exclusive meeting with investors and mine owners to address the issue of unemployment.
Speaking to this publication, the chairperson of the forum, Mr June Maphanga said they have signed an agreement with the institutions to work together.

“We believe that the move that we took of signing an agreement will yield fruitful results that will benefit local people, especially the youth as we know that unemployment is a huge problem,” said Maphanga.
This publication also learnt that the agreement is not only going to benefit local residents only, but also those from surroundings farms. “Since the mines promised us that they will make sure that local people are prioritised before we can employ people from outside Umjindi municipality since merged with The City of Mbombela Local Municipality,” he said.
