Road Accident Fund takes service to the people

Claimants are urged to interact directly with the RAF in order to avoid the pitfalls associated with paying intermediaries’ fees.

MBOMBELA- The Road Accident Fund (RAF) recently embarked on a Customer Service Awareness drive held throughout South Africa.

The campaign began on November 1 and will be held until November 14.
During this two-week campaign, claimants are urged to interact directly with the RAF in order to avoid the pitfalls associated with paying intermediaries’ fees.

Furthermore, the RAF’s full suite of services will still be at claimants’ disposal.

RAF Chief Operations Officer, Lindelwa Jabavu, said: “The RAF aims to execute its duties with extra dedication and fortitude, while pursuing excellence across the business. We will be driven by a desire to succeed, which will be achieved through intelligent planning and a renewed commitment to delivery. It all forms part of the caring arm of government’s commitment to cover, compensate and rehabilitate all those who are injured on our roads.”

He added that the RAF’s new brand of service delivery has transformed the RAF in the last four years from a public entity fraught with negativity to one that provides the highest standard of care efficiently to those who are injured or killed in motor vehicle accidents, including their families.

Jabavu urged accident victims or their families to bring their ID documents for inquiries and information on their claim when visiting the RAF’s offices.

Other relevant information that will be required will include case numbers, accident reports, vehicle registrations and contact numbers of all parties involved in the motor vehicle accident.
