Deputy minister opens development centre

This is part and parcel of the department's many programmes aimed at celebrating the Child Protection Week.

MBOMBELA – The deputy minister for social development, Ms Hendrietta Bogopane – Zulu will today be handing over an early childhood development centre in Bhuga, just outside Mbombela.

This is part and parcel of the department’s many programmes aimed at celebrating the Child Protection Week.
The national child protection week is marked annually to raise awareness for the rights of children.
It aims to mobilise all sectors of society to care and protect children. The theme for this year is, “Let us all protect children to move South Africa forward”.
Bogopane – Zulu will continue with her journey with the Chief Executive Officer of Hlayisani Holdings, Pastor Maria Muhari where they will hand over a house to a needy family in this area .
