Nurses celebrate their day with a health walk
Thousands of nurses are expected to be part of a provincial celebration which will start with a health walk from the traffic lights at Kamagugu to the main event at the Church on the Hill.
MBOMBELA – Nurses from all walks of life in the province will be joining multitudes of nurses around the world in celebrating International Nurses’ Day today, which is the anniversary of the birth of the late Florence Nightingale.
Thousands of nurses are expected to be part of a provincial celebration which will start with a health walk from the traffic lights at Kamagugu to the main event at the Church on the Hill.
The International Council of Nurses started the event unofficially back in 1965, and they chose the theme of this year’s Nurses’ Day as: “Nurses, A Force for Change, Care Effective, Cost Effective.”
We wish a Happy Nurses Day to all the dedicated and hardworking nurses out there who are always eager and patient to look after the sick in the hospitals of the country.
