Tollgate employee released on R1 000 bail
The arrest followed an alleged tip-off from someone who witnessed the skimming and called the police.
MBOMBELA – A tollgate employee arrested in connection with fraud was released on R1 000 bail by the Leslie Magistrate’s Court.
Mr Tango Jose’s court matter was postponed for further investigations to May 6.
His arrest comes after the police received a tip off from someone who witnessed the skimming.Hawks Serious Commercial Crime Investigation provincial spokesperson Lt Dineo Sekgotodi says the suspect was arrested at the Leandra Tollgate on April 26 at about 11:00. He was found in possession of a debit card skimming device which he allegedly used to skim clients’ debit cards that pass through the tollgate.
