Mabuza goes on sick leave again

Mncwango released a statement confirming that the leave will take up to seven days, starting today up to March 18.

MBOMBELA – Premier David Mabuza will be taking some time off office for his regular medical check-up, this is according to his spokesperson, Mr Zibonele Mncwango.

“Premier Mabuza returned back to work in October last year, from a three-month sick leave and indicated that from time-to-time, he would dedicate time for his medical check-ups,” said Mncwango.

The MEC for the Department of Health, Mr Gillion Mashego, will be acting in Mabuza’s absence and will be sworn in tomorrow.

“Health MEC Gillion Mashego has been designated to act as Premier of the Province of Mpumalanga in terms of Section 131 (1) (a) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996.”
