Top ANC members defect to EFF

A former member of the parliament of the ANC, Mr Tseko Taabe, has recently joined the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

BARBERTON – He has been with the ruling party for the past 25 years where he gained more skills and knowledge on politics. Taabe told Mpumalanga News that he had reached a point where he felt that he couldn’t stay in an organisation that didn’t have direction and was buying votes.

“This is the hardest and most painful decision that I have made in my political life. I joined EFF and it’s the best place or party if you want to work with the people of this country,” he explained.

Taabe vowed that he wanted to invest his energy and time going out in full force when it came to building branches or structures of the EFF.

“Nobody wants to listen to the people or community. The unrest of the service- delivery protests says a lot when it comes to issues of service delivery.

“So I am more than ready to invest my skills in building the EFF as the people of South Africa need a party that they want to work with,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the leader of the EFF at the provincial legislature, Mr Collen Sedibe said that it was an honour to be joined by Taabe.
“He approached us as a party and as you know our doors are always open to welcome people who have a vision to take this country to another level.

“We believe that working with him will yield fruitful results since he has experience in politics as the EFF is growing day by day,” he explained.

Sedibe also added that they still had more surprises as more prominent people of the ANC would join the EFF very soon. “There are still more people from the ruling party who will join our party. We are going to give the ANC a fatal blow and some people that will join us come from the DA and Agang.”

On the other hand, Former Mbombela Mayor and ANC Ehlanzeni Deputy Chairperson, Mr Isaiah Khoza, has confirmed that he has also defected to the EFF.

Khoza is also an HOD for the department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison. More details on this to follow.
