Red Modelling Agency successfully launched a trendsetting fashion market for Midrand and Tembisa residents on October 6, at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre.
The Red Spring Fashion Market covered a wide base of fashion, runway, commercial and pageant models in the event’s Fashion Lounge which was one of the event’s spin-off programmes.
The programme prepared models in various spaces to understand the limitations of contracts, and what fashion designers are looking for in a model.
This session was facilitated by some of the leading local fashion designers, such as Bobo Moko of Moko Originals and Khodani Manyike-Tshitahe of KTM Attorneys.
Extensively, the market featured Edgars Beauty, Zuri Nutrition, Revlon SA, IROR Group, Khekhesh Photography, Micaiah Visuals, and Just Red Media.
In conversation with the founder of the agency, Thabang Mabale, who is also the head of operations in the agency, Mabale said, “We have carefully curated this concept of the fashion market in the township to create a conducive environment for models to proactively participate in the industry – and maintaining a sustainable foundation for the model-designer relationship..”
This styled event is expected to be a go-to event from which local fashion designers, retail stores and local fashion models can do business together and make locally designed clothes available for procurement.
It also offered an opportunity for stylish, authentic and ecstatic fashion designers to showcase their vetted designs ready for procurement.
Among many designers, the show featured The African Stich, Kidhood and Miss Mash who acted as prime designers to the show.
With the launch of the Red Spring Fashion Market, the agency has been developing, managing, and promoting timeless fashion models for high-end fashion models.
