Producer set to drop a 3-track instrumental EP

The EP's digital audio workstation has a variety of synth bass sounds, such as the sine wave sub, the P-Funk Moog bass, dubstep wobbles, and more.

Mekaeel ‘Yourboy_mekaeel’ Haffajee, a Carlswald-based virtuoso music producer with a penchant for experimenting with different styles of music, is set to release a hip-hop three-track Extended Play (EP) titled Triumph on June 30.

Aside from the late American rapper XXXTentacion’s vocals on one of the tracks, Triumph is a completely instrumental project.

“As a big fan of XXXTentacion, I decided to put him on one of the instrumental tracks to brighten up the mood. He has always inspired me to be original and kind, ” said Mekaeel, birth name Mekaeel Haffajee.

Mekaeel said that besides sharing his emotions through his EP, he also wanted to feed his listeners since they were asking for more music.

The EP’s digital audio workstation has a variety of synth bass sounds, such as the sine wave sub, the P-Funk Moog bass, dubstep wobbles, and more.

” To me, music is art and I believe that it does not necessarily require vocals to be considered a song. The key thing to making a song is what you put into it,” he explained.

Mekaeel explained that he is happy that he was able to grow and gain more listeners even abroad by dubbing into the phonk sound — hip-hop and trap subgenre.

“My music stands out in many ways… I always like to try out innovative sounds and I am always mixing genres and sounds,” said the 18-year-old producer.

“A lot of people find me to be very creative and unique and that is exactly the truth because I like to stand out and don’t like being compared because I feel like I am just being me and expressing myself hence the EP,” he concluded.

Details: The EP will be available on all digital music platforms.
