Gradetown comes to Waterfall City Park this Youth Day

The initiative is Joburg’s ultimate youth day celebration burgeoning young people's spirit in Mzansi.

Known for their fashion influence and curation of edgy streetwear over the past five years, leading fashion brand, Grade Africa recently launched their latest initiative Gradetown.

The initiative is Joburg’s ultimate youth day celebration to embolden young people’s spirits in Mzansi.

Taking place on June 16 at Waterfall City Park, this first-of-a-kind event will feature a range of activities, including the hottest live music performances, interactive thought-provoking talks, sports tournaments, and more.

The celebration is set to create opportunities for young people to showcase their talents and skills while connecting with peers from different backgrounds and cultures.

Grade Africa frontman Zaid Osman said the initiative offers a curated safe space for young people to express themselves, learn from one another, and celebrate their strength and diversity.

With music being a huge part of the culture, the lineup boasts a selection of some of the dopest young talent in the country right now including multiple award-winning artists Focalistic, Emtee, and A-Reece.

Also, headlining is amapiano goddess Kamo Mphela alongside DJs Kaymo, Savage, LeloWhatsGood, Deniece Marx, Stopper, Rarri, and Don Delicious.

Gradetown will also host a ‘kick-ass comedy show’, a local talent show, and various merchandise stations. A variety of food and beverage stalls will also be available in the space.

“A key focus of this event is the celebration and acknowledgement of young creatives, that are so often overlooked. GradeTown promises to be an unforgettable event that showcases SA youth’s resilience, creativity, and power,” concluded Osman.
