Jbee Forest is working on visuals for his hit single Jaiva Dlozlam

JBee believes when one is releasing a new song it is beneficial for them to have multiple features to promote and that visuals help to promote the song and vice versa.

Putting out a music video is a great way that artists can create excitement and anticipation around their new release.

After dropping his single, Jaiva Dlozlam (Dance my ancestor) late last year, local musician Jabulani ‘JBee Forest’ Hlathi is now working on the song’s visuals.

JBee believes that when one is releasing a new song it is beneficial for them to have multiple features to promote and that visuals help to promote the song and vice versa.

The song was produced by DeeJay KaySA and the visuals were created by OFT Production. He described the song as one of the best instrumental beats he has ever poured his soul into.

“The song talks about Gob and my ancestors…Inviting God and my ancestors.

JBee Forest performs on stage.

“So the visuals will be showing more of me going through my spiritual journey and lots of dance moves. People should simply expect lots of creativity, fun, and a bit of storyline.”

The versatile 36-year-old artist can sing to any beat but he is more into afro-pop, however, Jaiva Dlozlam is an amapiano song.

JBee explained that amapiano tracks should have visuals as visuals demonstrated the artist’s personality and visual aesthetic. “It is good to relate your face to your sound.”

He owns his master recordings and advised local artists to own theirs as it gave them the legal right to freely appropriate and maximise their opportunities to make money.

With a master recording, one could license the recording to third parties such as TV shows, films, commercials, or even for sampling use by other artists.

If your master belongs to someone else such as the record label, the music producer, or the sound engineer, then they have the right to license out the recording and collect all the royalties.

JBee has been pushing his single on various music platforms and the song has been well-received by fans.

“The love I have been receiving is overwhelming. A shout out to all the radio stations, TikTok users, and DJs that have been playing my songs.”

Details: Locals can find the visualizer song on YouTube titled JBee Forest JaivaDlozlam featuring DJ KaySA.
