Benzo cooking up an EP for early January after single release

Music producer and singer Banele Sotomela aka Benzo has released a new amapiano banger for festive grooves.

The upbeat song, Imali (money) was released on November 9.
Sotomela (29) said the song was growing among listeners and going strong in streaming and downloads. He features two of South Africa’s talented female singers in the music industry Rapsy and Lumka.

Banele Sotomela says he is currently working on an EP.

“Imali is aimed at encouraging go-getters to always aspire to be living the good, soft life and getting the bag [money]. My team and I are very proud and honored to have finally released and deliver this song to our listeners and the people out there. We excitedly hope that this song will bring hope, and courage and evoke the fire and motivation to succeed and prosper in life,” said Sotomela.

The song has a music video that is available for streaming and downloading on YouTube as well as other digital platforms. The music video was directed and produced by one of the best executive directors in the industry Monde Dube.
Sotomela said his passion for music was what got him where he was today. He described amapiano as the genre for the future and urged all upcoming artists to never give up if they have a passion for music irrespective of which genre they want to delve into.

Sotomela said he was currently working on an EP which would drop next year in January.
