Diepsloot-based artist releases his first solo project
Local DJ Mzamani Chauke said music lovers have responded positively to his single.
A local music producer and DJ Mzamani Chauke, also known as ‘DJ Skoroza the Magical’, has finally dropped his first single.
Chauke, who hails from Malamulele in Limpopo, moved to Diepsloot a few years ago. He previously worked as a producer for a number of well-known music artists.
“This was my first solo project to go out to the market. I started doing music at a very young age, working with different Limpopo-based music artists for many years. I’ve previously worked with artists such as Mapele the Boss, Redboy Mchangani, Mambaulele, Makuha Hlovo and Henny C to name a few. I was more focused on traditional music before I switched to the house music genre.”
He released the single, Mashudu, on May 20 after many failed attempts to release his solo music project. He said it was about time he gave local and international music lovers something unique, brewed from his pot.
He said the song has received positive feedback from music lovers and the community. “The song is available on a few music platforms and to be distributed in all [digital platforms] in two weeks’ time.”
