Miss Face of Rabie Ridge gets to be crowned on February 12

RABIE RIDGE — Local girls are also encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and be themselves and to be able to define what is meant about confident beauty.

Local residents are invited to the first annual Miss Face of Rabie Ridge beauty pageant on February 12 at Rabie Ridge community hall.

Miss Face of Rabie Ridge is the pageant that aims to build positive energy that builds young girls to be future leaders.

Sanele Khuzwayo, founder of the pageant, defined Rabie Ridge as a small township that had a lot of residents who have talent but they were not recognised enough. Therefore, she and Pretty Khuzwayo decided to host the pageant.

“Miss Face of Rabie Ridge is an active pageant and a voice of change we would like to see in communities we work with. This means that we must start initiatives that empower our communities, young girls and the youth to curb the high illiteracy rate, substance abuse as well as other community-related challenges,” Khuzwayo said.

Each model who takes part in Miss Face of Rabie Ridge will rehearse. They will be given the platform to embrace their abilities and talents, taught about the importance of social responsibility, and learn life skills to enhance their physical beauty.

Locals can purchase tickets for as little as R50 to attend the pageant and there will be various performers to entertain the audience.
