Honouring the fabulous women of the community

JOBURG – The foundation recently hosted its 9th annual Fabulous Women Awards where it virtually honoured eight extraordinary women in the community.

The Fabulous Woman Awards continues to honour the outstanding achievements of the community’s fearless women.

The initiative, kick-started by the Fabulous Girls Foundation, recently hosted its 9th annual Fabulous Women Awards where it virtually honoured eight extraordinary women in the community.

The annual awards have been created to honour women who possess ethical leadership, vision, innovation, excellence and entrepreneurial drive with the ultimate goal being to present role models for other women to aspire to, said founder Pontsho Manzi.

The foundation prides itself on recognising outstanding and excellent women and girls who are making a difference in communities, society and the world.

“The covid-19 pandemic introduced new challenges however these inspirational women and girls have been rising above it all and making notable impact in their line of work.

Truly, these winners represent the excellent Fabulous Woman” said Manzi.

The recipients for this year’s annual awards were as follows:

· Fabulous Woman of the Year – Portia Mngomezulu (PortiaM Skin Solutions)

· Fabulous Woman Job Creation Award – Thandeka Nombanjinji-Nzama (Mbokodo Building)

· Fabulous Woman Global Impact Award – Gladys Agulhas (Agulhas Theatre Works)

· Fabulous Woman in Health Award – Dr Mathobela Matjekane (Clinimed Medical and Aesthetics Solutions Works)

· Sta-Sof-Fro Fabulous Women Empowerment – Sinegugu Ngcobo ( Isibani Sentsha)

· BIC Soleil Fabulous Woman Humanitarian Award- Lydia Hlongwane (I.C.A.R.E)

· Fabulous Woman Resilient Award – Linda Maponyane (Kenako Media)

· Fabulous Girl of the Year – Njabulo Zulu (Njabulo 14)
