Reach for a Dream, based in Illovo, encourages the public to don their slippers on 7 May in support of Slipper Day.
The annual fundraising event helps the foundation to raise money to help children with life-threatening illnesses to see their greatest wish come true.
The theme for this year’s event is Not All Heroes Wear Capes and serves as a reminder that the brave children, doctors, nurses, and their families are the real heroes of this time.
Unfortunately, last year’s Slipper Day event had to be postponed due to Covid-19 resulting in a devastating outcome for the foundation as a whole.
During the hard lockdown, all dream activities were put on hold, which was a great disappointment for dreamers.
Supporters are urged to purchase a supporter sticker for R20 online or at partner stores including Pick n Pay, Dis-Chem, and Wimpy.
For every sticker purchased, you can enjoy a free Wimpy coffee on 7 May.
