Wildlife photographer will enthral you

Wildlife and photography enthusiasts are invited to an enthralling talk by award winning wildlife photographer, author and conservationist, Nicholas Dyer, at the South African launch of his outstanding coffee table book, Painted Wolves – A Wild Dog’s Life.

Nick spent six years following the packs made famous by Sir David Attenborough’s Dynasties and will be sharing his ‘on foot’ experiences with the baboon-hunting dogs of Mana Pools National Park.

Dyer will be signing copies of the book, described by Sir Richard Branson as ‘a fascinating journey into the lives of the painted wolves and what is being done to save them.’ All profits from the evening go to the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s African wild dog census in Kruger National Park, while proceeds from book sales go the Painted Wolf Foundation of which EWT is a beneficiary.

Drinks have been generously donated by Painter Wolf Wines, a long-time supporter of the African wild dog and EWT. Dinner will be served after the talk. Thursday, 10 October, 6.30pm for 7pm, Johannesburg Country Club Auckland Park. Dress, smart (no shorts or slops). R120 talk and drink; R310 for dinner afterwards. RSVP to rebeccam@ewt.org.za or 011 372 3600 by 7 October.
