Magical medieval fayre delights yee merry fans
KYALAMI–Neigh-Bours sees yet another fantastical magical medieval fayre for all nobles, knights and majestic creatures.
All things magical and medieval were embraced at the sixth instalment of Neigh-Bours Magical Medieval Fayre.
Hosted at the ye merry Inanda Country Base in Kyalami on 2 September, all sorts of medieval folk flocked to witness the majesty of minstrels, strolling players, stilt walkers, fairies, fire dancers and all manner of buskers and barons, knights, dragons, unicorns, fair maidens and their steeds.
This year did not disappoint with the usual much-loved attractions on display. Stalls boasted a variety of things medieval and magical such as scary eyeballs, magic potions and delectable treats.
Visitors were able to experience a wide range of activities from axe throwing, fighting a knight with Medieval Fight Club, learning how to fire an arrow at the Troll Bow Project Archery and even participating in a pillow fight.

Some old favourites drew the crowds like Vegetable Justice which hosted a foul-mouthed joker who spat off insults and was pounded in the face by squishy tomatoes.
Mischief Rat Rescue and the Irish Wolfhound rescue organisations were in attendance offering advice and spreading awareness.
As always, the Cosplay attracted young and old. Participants outdid themselves this year with outlandishly decorated costumes from tree dwellers to princesses, popes, witches and even dragons.
