Pre-release screening of Ghost in the Shell at Mall of Africa in Midrand

United International Pictures held an Imax 3D pre-release screening of Ghost in the Shell at Mall of Africa’s Ster-Kinekor in Midrand on 22 March.

Ghost in the Shell, starring Scarlett Johansson, shows a supposed future whereby humans are controlled by machines due to the vast advancement of technology.

Major, played by Johansson, is the first of her kind, a human who is cyber-enhanced to be the perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world’s most dangerous criminals.

As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that her life was not saved, but stolen.

She becomes determined to recover her past, find out who did this to her and stop them before they do it to someone else.
