A book worth it’s ‘dollars’

MIDRAND – Sammy Dollar Sehoana released his second book at Ivory Park's Imbizo Shisanyama Busy Corner.

Sammy Dollar Sehoana, a Limpopo-born author, launched his second book titled Never Wealthy at Imbizo Shisanyama Busy Corner in Ebony Park, Midrand.

Sehoana was born in Thabakgane and lived most of his life in Midrand’s Ivory Park Ext 2 with three siblings and a single mother who worked as a domestic worker.

Dialogues Between Dream-Makers was the first book to be released by Sehoana in March last year and focused on the conversations which take place in the townships between residents of different walks of life.

His second book is based on three men who each represent a different chapter in his life’s journey. Sehoana said, “The book is focused on inspiring the youth in the township to move away from the poverty and unneeded spending which results in heavy debt and an unbreakable cycle of poverty.”

He said he had always loved reading and grew up reading newspapers, and never thought he would some day release a book until he read a book by George Samuel Clason, The Richest Man in Babylon, which inspired him to start writing.

“I’m a township product and I saw it fit to launch my book in the same neighbourhood,” concluded Sehoana.
