Hip-hop festival coming soon
MIDRAND – The third annual 1685 Hip-Hop Festival will be happening at Kopanong Sports Grounds coming to Ivory Park.
The third annual 1685 Hip-Hop Festival will be held at Kopanong Sports Gounds in Ivory Park Ext 15 on 1 October.
The festival was established in 2014 by Gift ‘Riser’ Lebese, whose aim was to bring hip-hop lovers together and give young up-and-coming artists a platform to showcase their talent. “We do not only focus on hip-hop, the festival offers various activities such as street soccer, gaming tournaments, a VIP experience and more.”
According to Lebese, the aim is to be one of the biggest hip-hop events in Gauteng and, hopefully, nationally.
The event supports local entrepreneurs by allowing local businesses to promote their brands on the day of the event.
Lebese said that with the help of sponsors and the community, the festival will play a vital role in the growth of the South African hip-hop industry.
